What is the active ingredient in AzaGuard?

AzaGuard’s primary active ingredient is a highly concentrated 3% Azadirachtin formulation. Azadirachtin, a chemical compound belonging to the liminoid group, is formulated through an extraction process of the neem tree, mainly from the seeds that yield the purest form of the neem extract. AzaGuard’s raw neem oil extract is then put through a complex biosynthesis to create a concentrated, high-grade Azadirachtin formula that yields a higher percentage of critical limonoid components including nimbin, nimbidinin, and salannin.

What is AzaGuard's mode of action?

AzaGuard Insecticide/Nematicide is a versatile IPM tool that allows for field application on over 150+ different fruit and vegetable crops while also being labeled for greenhouse ornamental applications. AzaGuard is most commonly applied in a foliar insecticide program and can be rotated and/or tank-mixed with other synthetic and botanical insecticides. For soil applications AzaGuard can be drenched into the soil profile, as well as chemigated directly through drip irrigation systems to control various subterranean root herbivores. AzaGuard is labeled to be applied through high and low volume sprayers, fogging applications, aerial applicators, and chemigated through various irrigation systems.

CaT Technology - Calcium Mobility

Calcium typically moves in tissues via the apoplastic pathway, where water moves between cells, or through cell walls, but does not enter the cell membrane. When movement via the apoplastic flow is limited due to low transpiration, the calcium mobility and distribution are hindered. CalOx FT opens the symplastic pathway by stimulating selective ion transport channels in membranes allowing for calcium to enter the cell membrane and move directly through cells.

As such, this increases the calcium concentration within cells and improves localized calcium movement. The biostimulant component promotes a systemic signaling cascade, which results in cellular calcium influx throughout the plant. So essentially, the patented CaT Technology in CalOx FT unlocks an alternate and more effective pathway for calcium to move within the plant optimizing plant growth and development.

A university study was conducted to showcase the CaT Technology inside CalOx FT. One plant received calcium nitrate standalone, while a second plant received CalOx FT, both treatments were applied to a single leaf.

The control, calcium nitrate standalone, had a slight increase of calcium concentration at application site. The CalOx FT treated plant showed a rapid elevation in calcium concentration, followed by a systemic increase in untreated leaves.

    ZeroTol 2.0 Application Rates
    Foliar spray 0.5–1.25 fl. oz./gallon. Use non-ionic spreader/sticker. Use lower rate more frequently on softer vegetation.
    Spray Intervals: 5–7 days

    * Compatibility at 1.0% v/v (1:100) strength ZeroTol 2.0 solution. It’s recommended to add ZeroTol 2.0 first to full volume of water in tank, mix and then add the tank mix partner.

    ZeroTol 2.0 solution is tank mix compatible with listed solution. Due to varied sensitivity of plants to chemicals under given set of growing conditions and plant varieties, it’s recommended to conduct an additional phytotoxicity evaluation on small set of plants to ensure tank mix solution is safe before using on large scale.

    ZeroTol 2.0 solution is either not tank mix compatible or tank mix partner is not specifically tested for compatibility. Standard jar test and phytotoxicity evaluations need to be conducted before considering for tank mixing.


Broad Spectrum Bactericide / Fungicide

OxiPhos is a combination of phosphorous acid and activated peroxide that provides a one-two punch against diseases. The activated peroxide helps the phosphorous acid active ingredient to have a broader effect on targeted organisms. OxiPhos can be used throughout the growing season to prevent and control diseases caused by the oomycete group of pathogens.

What is OxiPhos's mode of action?

  • Systemic Action Potassium salts of phosphorus acid, also called potassium phosphite, metabolize inside the plants into phosphorus acid. Phosphorus acid inhibits oxidative phosphorylation in the metabolism of oomycetes and blocks essential pathogen enzymes limiting pathogen growth directly.
  • Contact Action Hydrogen peroxide, upon contact with pathogens, oxidizes components of cell membrane resulting in increased cell permeability and eventual death.

How should OxiPhos be used?

OxiPhos has been shown to be chemically compatible with OxiDate 2.0. Combining these two products provides broad spectrum activity against bacterial and fungal diseases during crop growing season. Determine crop sensitivity by spraying small area of foliage before using on large scale. If mixing with other pesticides, determine compatibility and plant sensitivity by following compatibility and plant sensitivity test instructions on the label.

Biological Insecticide

BT NOW is a water-based, biological insecticide that utilizes a novel strain of bacteria, Bacillus thuringiensis ssp. kurstaki (Btk), to offer targeted control of the caterpillars of certain moths and butterflies on a wide variety of crops. Ingestion of BT NOW paralyzes the insect’s digestive system within hours, halting further crop damage potential. The affected larvae die within 2-5 days.

What is BT NOW's mode of action?

The Bacillus thuringiensis ssp. kurstaki (Btk) bacteria found in BT NOW contains natural insecticidal endotoxins called “cry toxins”. When consumed by the larval stage of target lepidoptera pests, these toxins bind to specific receptors in the insect’s gut which immediately disrupts and paralyzes certain digestive functions. After the pest consumes Btk, plant tissue will be protected from further damage as the pest halts all feeding within hours. As the activated toxins disrupt membrane integrity in the caterpillar’s midgut, Btk spores enter the body, proliferate and kill the pest 2-5 days later.

BT NOW, a water-based product containing a novel strain of Bacillus thuringiensis, effectively targets hatched caterpillars Trichogramma may have missed, giving growers the best chance of a successful harvest. This combination achieves excellent control of caterpillars without harmful residue and without disrupting beneficial insect populations.

How should BT NOW be used?

Bacillus thuringiensis ssp. kurstaki products have a long history of safe and effective use in agriculture, forestry, and ornamental pest management. When applied properly, Btk products control lepidoptera larvae as well as traditional synthetic chemistries while also preserving beneficial species.

BT NOW is most effective on young, actively feeding larvae. For optimal results, employ early scouting programs to identify target caterpillar infestations and apply at first signs of feeding or when scouting program identifies pest presence. Cover foliage thoroughly to ensure product is consumed by the pest. Repeat applications when necessary to maintain control.
