Production Manager hired for new Yuma facility

EAST HARTFORD, CT — Miguel Gomez was hired as the production manager at BioSafe Systems’ new facility in Yuma, Arizona. Miguel lives in Arizona and will assist in establishing the Yuma facility as a thriving hub that offers maintenance, supply, service and distribution to our customers in the Southwest region. Miguel earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Instituto Technologico de Mexicali in Mexico. His 13 years of experience in maintenance and 14 years of experience in production equipped him to manage the new facility in Yuma. Plus, Miguel’s motivation and hands-on work ethic are matched and valued by BioSafe Systems. He is a great addition to the team.

The Yuma facility is an important acquisition for BioSafe Systems. It’s an opportunity for BioSafe Systems to further sustainability initiatives, including reducing carbon emissions by increasing local presence for service and delivery in the Southwest region.

A New Design Engineer to start with BioSafe Systems

EAST HARTFORD, CT — A new Design Engineer, Bill Clark, is joining us at the BioSafe Systems East Hartford headquarters starting in November. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Central Connecticut State University with a specific focus on CAD (computer-aided design). He also specialized in PLC programming and proved his comprehensive understanding of programmable logic controller (PLC) when he published a paper on the topic.

Bringing someone like Bill on is incredibly useful, especially with his knowledge of these popular and innovative engineering technologies. PLC is the program BioSafe Systems uses in its Smart Technology and OxyFusion dosing system. The programming allows our dosing mechanisms to monitor peroxyacetic acid (PAA) levels in wastewater, produce wash water, and in-field spray applications. The program allows users to adjust levels remotely and collect and store data for the most accessible transparency.

We’re looking forward to a productive future with Bill contributing his knowledge to BioSafe Systems’ engineering and technology pursuits. He stated, “I’m excited to be entering a job field more suited to my education and start a new career path with BioSafe Systems with their engineering team.”

EAST HARTFORD, CT — BioSafe Systems has partnered with Zafar Produce to sign a lease on a new production and warehouse facility in the city of Yuma, AZ.

Zafar Fresh has been an integral partner involved in the fresh produce supply chain. They offer first-hand experience as a shipper, customer, carrier, distributor, warehouse partner and more. This new 25,000 sq. ft. refrigerated space will enable BioSafe Systems to produce the full line of world-class peracetic acid products and will serve as a regional warehouse and service center. The new location is an opportunity to better serve our customers and provide sustainable food safety and agronomic solutions in the southern California, Yuma, Arizona region, as well as Western Mexico.

New Service Technician Added to BioSafe Systems’ Team

EAST HARTFORD, CT — BioSafe Systems found its newest Service Technician, Don Stalnaker, in the northern corner of the state of Georgia. Don will be joining the BioSafe Systems team to provide customer service and support during field visits and assist in managing on-site installations, repair and maintenance. It’s an important addition, especially as BioSafe Systems continues to grow its innovative application equipment and automated dosing technology.

After earning his degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology from Jefferson State Community College in Birmingham, Alabama, Don spent over nine years with Zoetis in the Poultry Health Division where he maintained a fleet of biodevices and managed an area including Minnesota, Wisconsin and South Alabama. He also brings experience from the Food Safety division, familiarity with dosing equipment and antimicrobial interventions in pork and poultry processing plants. He’s gleaned knowledge from time spent in hatcheries, and involvement in water treatment and acidification of poultry grow-out houses. All of Don’s diverse fieldwork is perfectly suited to promote BioSafe Systems’ goals for sustainable solutions that protect crops, water and people in the U.S. and abroad.

We are pleased to welcome Don and look forward to a successful relationship with him and we’re excited for his productive future providing positive, sustainable solutions to our client base.

    Crop Irrigation Water 1:22,000 – 1:2,750 5.8 – 46.5 fluid oz /1,000 gallons Product can be injected directly into the irrigation water at the point of intake. For best results, continuous injection into the water is recommended every time crop is irrigated or at a minimum, in the last 2 – 3 irrigations prior to harvest.
    Treatment of Irrigation Systems 1:500 – 1:2,500 0.4 – 2.0 gallons / 1,000 gallons Allow a contact time of 6 – 12 hours or overnight if possible. Open ends of irrigation lines and flush with irrigation water.
