East Hartford, CT— A new lab assistant to BioSafe Systems’ plant pathology team, Isabella Russo, will contribute skill, intellect and experienced support to our crop protection research and development projects. She’ll boost the company’s pathogen knowledge base when working in tandem with Head Plant Pathologist Director of Research and Development.
Bella comes to us from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and minored in Plant Pathology. She’s familiar with lab life, processing water and soil samples and evaluating product anti-microbial efficacy, and keeping thorough, detailed technical records of project data and results. She has worked in the Fungal Genomics laboratory as a technician, and in UMass Diagnostic Laboratory keeping keen eyes on nematodes, oomycete pathogens, Fusarium strains and many pathogens BioSafe Systems’ products combat in agribusiness. Extensive knowledge about pathogens’ growth and development phases helps us all learn how to treat them when they threaten healthy growing operations.
