EAST HARTFORD, CT – BioSafe Systems is pleased to announce the hire of Gretchen Pettis, Ph.D. as their new Entomologist. Based out of Henderson, NC, Gretchen will oversee product trials and collaborate with the sales and research teams to build a well-rounded and effective insecticidal product catalog.
Gretchen has extensive experience in and knowledge of agricultural production and pest management which makes her an excellent addition to BioSafe Systems. She received her PhD. in Entomology from the University of Georgia and served as the state Integrated Pest Management and Pesticide Safety Coordinator there. Subsequent roles have involved serving as the Entomologist for F.A. Bartlett Tree Experts and as the Director of Biological Science Programs for a specialty electrostatic spraying manufacturer serving the agricultural and food safety sectors.
Gretchen is passionate about pollinators, trees, agriculture, and sharing her entomological and plant health knowledge.
