Key Features and Benefits
- Flowable calcium carbonate
- 5 gallons yields on average similar water quality adjustment as much as 1 ton of aggregate agricultural limestone
- Long-lasting results in days, not months
- Use in fishing ponds with poor water quality or low fish production
At retired NASCAR® driver Tony Stewart’s Hidden Hollow Ranch, Aquatic Control handles the lake management. The goal at this location is to manage the existing lake and develop it into a Trophy Bass Pond. The first step was adjusting the water quality using Calcis® to achieve desirable aquatic conditions to grow healthy, strong and active fish.
Lake Source, LLC, located in Easton, Maryland focuses on restoring water quality through science and research. Through lake and pond management, Lake Source works to protect aquatic habitats with preservation tactics such as pond aeration, fountains and algae control.
Calcis Liquid Calcium Carbonate, an alternative to aggregate the lime, minimizes labor costs and expedites the application. The smaller volume of the material, less labor and equipment helped this lake management team get quick results and complete the application in only one day.
