BioSafe Systems now offers BioCeres in a new Emulsifiable Concentrate (EC) formulation, a biological mycoinsecticide that uses Beauveria bassiana fungus for agricultural and horticultural operations. The EPA-registered and OMRI-Listed ANT-03 strain is used for the biological control of whiteflies, aphids, thrips, plant bugs, spotted lanternflies, and leaf-feeding insects. When the bioinsecticide is applied to crops it is ingested by pests, and the fungus eats the insect from the inside, ceasing feeding within hours, and killing the bug in a few days.
Formerly produced as a wettable powder, the new formulation is liquid-based, which allows easy application. It’s a cost-effective, sustainable choice of chemistry for a wide range of crops grown in greenhouses, nurseries, or CEA facilities and for organic operations or traditional field and specialty crops.
